It is also the last habitat of the unique antelope ‘Sangai’ which is the dancing deer of Manipur and can only be found in the Floating Lake Loktak National Park. The lake is around 40 km from Imphal and is hardly a drive of 1 and 1/2 hours. A beautiful place to explore.

Very cool and awesome place for a holiday. This is a floating island with so mush sceneries. The lake is impressive and offers both beautiful landscape views as well as birdlife, which one has to explore by boat and foot on some of islands. Unfortunately there is a fair amount of littering around. Most picturesque place to visit. A must visit place if you are in Manipur. Preferably a stay for a couple of days to enjoy the virgin beauty of the place with be the best.

It’s a worth visiting place. The grasses grow and form circular shapes which look so beautiful. Locals call it ‘Fumdi’. I saw the lake from plane. It looked so beautiful. There are hotels. The area is clean and well maintained. The Floating Lake is one of the largest fresh water body in the North East area in India.

Loktak Lake, Imphal is the bestest place to visit if ever coming to Manipur! The lake is the world’s only floating lake with Phumdis around (Phumdi is the floating material Formed Naturally) The aura of the lake is so positive and relaxing that you will enjoy every part of it!

- ❌ Be sure to take proper care of your belongings.
We stayed in Loktak Lake aquamarine home stay for 1 day( day and night ).. Very pleasant and comfortable place to stay with all kind of facility at the centre of the lake. You can literally feel the floating land mass when you walk around your hut. Complementary breakfast and lunch provided. Boat man took us for an hour boat ride during sunrise. Its very pleasant and eye catching moment to see floating land mass during sun rice.

- Nice location. On the way to Loktak & CCPur. New site. Nice ambience. Nice menu and quality food. Courteous staff. Also have rooms for stay.
- Some more variety in food will be much appreciated. Staffs are very nice and friendly. Cleanliness mentionable.
- The service and rooms are good and suitable for travellers. However the location is a little off of the main city.
